Starting off 2025…

As the team at Global Education Connection starts off the new year, we are working diligently to plan and prepare for our upcoming programs.

In 2025, look for and expansion in our domestic programs with a focus on assisting refugee children affected by the recent devastating fires in the Los Angeles area as well as the initiation of a new refugee education program in Tulsa Oklahoma!

On the international front, we are doubling down on our commitment to support refugee children in Northern Iraq/Iraqi Kurdistan. Surrounding the city of Erbil, there are roughly 20 refugee camps supporting individuals and families including those affected by the civil war in Syria as well as Yazidi people who faced a genocide from terrorist extremists just a couple years ago.

There are many great improvements that are being incorporated with the team at GEC and we are ecstatic to share our progress throughout the next couple months as we work to support our mission in helping refugee children around the world with their educational and development needs.

In 2023, we helped 590 refugee children in Ukraine, and Turkey. In 2024, we more than quadrupled our impact and served 2,421 refugee children across 5 countries! In 2025, our goal is to serve 10,000 refugee children.
